The Corona virus and subsequent craziness that has engulfed the world has inevitably reached South Africa. And while it has hit us hard and exposed our weaknesses, we are also sitting back, taking stock and thinking deeply. There’s never been a better time to do the same for your business.
Thankfully, the Corona virus has reached us at a time when some good news is finally emerging. Self isolation and social distancing have resulted in some pretty awesome environmental effects. Venice’s canals are clean, dolphins are returning to Italian coastline, and there’s been a massive reduction in carbon emissions and pollution in China and other parts of the world.
Socially, it’s making people think of others rather than themselves, to regroup as families, reconnect with each other and nature and find new ways to learn and grow. It’s almost as if mother nature has pulled up the brakes for a forced reprieve, and I have no doubt that this is going to result in massive changes to the way people go about their lives.
What’s this got to do with business?
In the same way, this global Corona virus crisis is exposing weaknesses in our businesses, but also forcing us to urgently think outside the box to find ways to keep serving our clients and customers and adapt to their new circumstances. For the majority of people I am talking to, business has slowed down. Fantastic! That gives you the reprieve you need to start working ON your business.
Stop, breathe and take stock of where your business is at, and what you can do to bounce back and take a leap forward when this is all over. Although it can seem overwhelming, if you follow a step by step approach and focus on what’s important, you will come out stronger on the other side.
Using online platforms to learn
Just as our school-going children are learning to learn in different ways, this is an opportunity for us to try new platforms for coaching. While we are still “open for business” to do traditional business and executive coaching, we also have an online DIY coaching platform. This provides access to weekly training videos, business spreadsheets, e-classes, internet marketing videos, sales letters, ideas for marketing material strategies, business training articles, and much more.
Free weekly trial of DIY coaching platform
In an effort to provide support to small businesses during this trying time, we are offering a free weekly trial of our E-Learning platform, www.bizhqonline.com. If you are interested in taking the platform for a test drive, send us a mail, and we will send you login details. If you enjoy working on the coaching platform, you can sign up to continue using it.
Until then, be safe, be responsible and don’t succumb to panic.
